Paul Christian Yeager Mid-Century Renovation

A complete interior renovation of a classic mid-century modern residence originally designed by architect Paul Christian Yeager, perched on a foothill overlooking Paradise Valley and the Phoenix skyline.

The goal of the project was to thoughtfully update the home's floor plan while preserving the clarity and character of Yeager's original design. The renovation focused on creating a more functional layout for contemporary living without compromising the architectural language that makes the home exceptional.

A new primary suite was carefully reimagined as a series of connected spaces—what we refer to as a private sleeping quarters—with separate sleeping, dressing, and bathing areas that provide both comfort and privacy. The kitchen was completely redesigned to improve workflow and entertaining, including the addition of a butler's pantry.

Achieving the new layout required significant structural coordination, including the relocation of load-bearing walls to create more open, connected living spaces while respecting the home's original post-and-beam character.

The result is a timeless renovation that honors the vision of the original architect while thoughtfully adapting the residence for modern life.
